The Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) is a program offered through the US Dept. of Agriculture’s (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).
Landowners can apply for financial assistance with a wide variety of conservation projects. Projects may take place on forest land, agricultural land, and other habitat types. Examples of common projects include clearing buckthorn, thinning red pine, planting native species for pollinators, and growing organic food. There is no minimum project size.
